New year,
new Career goals!
Volunteer!
Volunteering is a great way to affect the world positively, and it's also another way you can feel good about yourself. You can feed the homeless, pick up trash in a park, raise money for a new local pool, whatever you like. If you want to step up your game, see if you can get your office to make an official event of it and recruit co-workers to volunteer with you.

Network
Networking events are a great opportunity to meet other professionals in your industry that live in your area. You get to make new connections as well as stay on top of what's happening in your field.
Take your first steps at building your network by meeting our Instructors and current students at our Prospective Student Open House & Learning Showcase on Jan 30th 6-7:30pm!
Join an organization
Central Nine offers many organizations such as The Governors Work Ethic, NTHS, SkillsUSA, and many more!
Adding organizations to a resume helps show employers that you have a strong work ethic and can work well with a team!
Improve Communication
Practical communication skills are fundamental to success in many aspects of life, especially in a career. Many jobs require strong communication skills. A couple of steps to make you a stronger communicator is to focus on listening and be proactive. Make eye contact, read emails thoroughly, and make sure all your contact information is updated within your network.
