Students learn about the human body and its functions, along with many triage situations encountered as a Medical Assistant such as working in a doctor’s office, clinicals, taking vitals (blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, etc.), venipuncture, syringe fill, ECG’s, urinalysis, prescription writing, and dosage calculations. Students may also earn CPR, HIPAA, FEMA, and Bloodborne Pathogen certifications.
