Dental Careers

Welcome to our Dental Careers Program,

This program addresses dentistry from the perspective of a Dentist, Hygienist, Assistant, and Lab Technician. Emphasis is placed on the clinicals and lab environment, equipment/instrument identification, oral anatomy, and sterilization. Additionally, students work towards obtaining a National Entry Level Dental Assistant Certification, radiography license, and a Dental X-Ray License. Students can also earn certifications for: CPR, AED/First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens and HIPPA Training.

4 credits per semester, Counts as a Directed Elective or Elective for the General, Core 40, Core 40 with Academic Honors and Core 40 with Technical Honors diplomas.

Dental Students Visit Cluster Baker

These three students from the Dental Careers Program went to Custer Baker last week to teach seventh and eighth graders about different jobs in dentistry and opportunities at Central Nine.

Central Nine is hosting summer camps this June for students who will be in 7th or 8th grade during the fall 2019 school year!

Students can choose to participate in two different camp experiences. Contact for questions.
