Construction Trades

Welcome to our Construction Trades Program,

This is a hands-on program where students will construct a house over a period of two years! It includes classroom and laboratory experiences covering the formation, installation, and establishment of buildings, homes, and other structures.

Our Students develop the skills and knowledge to become work-ready in a variety of construction trades. Through these experiences they’ll  have opportunities to meet our local partners and community supporters while becoming OSHA certified.  

High School Credit:

5580 Construction Trades I

Four credits per semester. Counts as a Directed Elective or Elective for the General, Core 40, Core 40 with Academic Honors and Core 40 with Technical Honors diplomas.

Dual Credit Courses

BCTI 100 Intro to Construction Technology
BCTI 101 Intro to Carpentry I
BCTI 102 Intro to Carpentry II


OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry Training

Special thank you to Distinctive Kitchen and Bath for their support of the Construction Trades Program!

As our students continue to make progress on their two story house, the Distinctive Kitchen and Bath team is currently working on designing the cabinets and counter tops that will be donated and installed in the house.

Central Nine is hosting summer camps this June for students who will be in 7th or 8th grade during the fall 2019 school year!

Students can choose to participate in two different camp experiences. Contact for questions.
