The Work Ethic Certificate Program provides students with a means to identify and develop the employability skills being demanded by local employers and allow them an opportunity to demonstrate these skills while in high school. For employers, the program provides them with a pipeline of workers with a proven work ethic, who understand the value and importance of responsibility and perseverance in the workplace. Employers may provide incentives to students who receive the Work Ethic Certificate such as a guaranteed job interview or mentoring opportunities. Students who receive the Work Ethic Certificate will receive a certificate signed by the Indiana State Governor, a sash to wear at graduation and other appropriate recognition.
