Fire and resuce
Welcome to our Fire and Rescue Program,
Students have the unique opportunity to obtain state fire certifications all while working towards a high school diploma. The course is taught by full time firefighters from the local area. Students will be issued real firefighting gear, work on a real fire engine, wear a real SCBA, and be expected to learn and perform all of the fire ground activities that are performed on the job on a daily basis. Students will also complete CPR and First Aid certifications.
High School Credit:
5820 Fire & Rescue I
Four credits per semester. Counts as a Directed Elective or Elective for the General, Core 40, Core 40 with Academic Honors and Core 40 with Technical Honors diplomas.
