Heather DeRudder

I began teaching Culinary Arts at Central Nine in 2016 and previously I taught Culinary Arts for the Job Corps program for four years. I have been working in the foodservice industry since I was 16 and have over 16 years combined experience across multiple areas in the field. I've worked in positions ranging from fine dining to casual dining, as well as corporate and healthcare foodservice. I've worked as a culinary arts instructor, pastry chef, line cook, kitchen manager, front of house manager, and caterer, among other positions. In my free time I focus heavily on cooking and baking, as it is a great personal interest as well as a career.

I also have an interests in food preservation, soap making, and reading.
