Clint Smith

I began working at Central Nine Career Center in 2003. I am a former adjunct Culinary Arts instructor with the International Culinary Schools at the Art Institute of Indianapolis.  I have nineteen years of food service experience—first restaurant job at nineteen years old.

Previous employers include The Columbia Club of Indianapolis, Hillview Country Club, and Don Pablo’s Mexican Kitchen and have maintained multiple food service positions including line cook, trainer, expeditor, and caterer.

Fiction and freelance writing occupy much of my attention when away from school. I am the author of a short story collection, Ghouljaw and Other Stories (Hippocampus Press, 2014) along with a novella which was released by Dunhams Manor Press in 2015.  My short stories have appeared in S.T. Joshi’s Weird Fiction Review #1 and #4 (Centipede Press, 2010, 2014); the British Fantasy Society Journal and numerous other publications. Fiction pieces are also scheduled to appear in upcoming publications Nightscript and XNOYBIS.

Also a freelance writer, my stories and columns have previously appeared in the Indianapolis Star, Southside Times Magazine, FARM Indiana Magazine, Columbus Magazine, and SOUTH Magazine.
